A student's GPA is used to determine academic standing, honors, and degree completion. To graduate, a student must have at least a 2.0 GPA overall, and a 2.0 in all courses required for the major. Note that some majors have a GPA requirement that exceeds the minimum; for more information, please contact the individual departments. In order to maintain satisfactory academic progress, a full-time student must complete at least 12 credits per semester and maintain a certain GPA based on the total number of earned credits as seen below:
