Academic Centers

There are various academic centers in the College of Arts and Sciences.  Each of these serve a unique experience to for the communities on and off campus.  

Center for Social Research

The University of Hartford's Center for Social Research (CSR) seeks to discover and publicly disseminate knowledge, inform public policy and strengthen communities. The CSR focuses on researching and evaluating human service program development and assessment, particularly programs targeting socially and economically marginalized populations.

Humanities Center

The Humanities Center of the College of Arts and Sciences fosters serious interdisciplinary study of the humanities by sponsoring lectures, symposia, and seminars on timely topics. Each year students and faculty members are selected to be Fellows of the center. The center also awards scholarships (for first-year and sophomore students) and fellowships (for juniors and seniors) to students majoring or minoring in  the humanities who meet certain academic criteria.

Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies

The Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies is devoted to teaching original research in Judaic studies, from the biblical to modern periods. Faculty from around the world have created programs that are diverse and stimulating to the students.
