Computer Science Department

The University of Hartford offers a wide variety of computer science courses taught by experienced professionals who are in the vanguard of their field. Areas of faculty expertise include: artificial intelligence, graphics, object oriented programming and design, software development, analysis of algorithms, database theory, networking and UNIX / LINUX system programming. The computing facilities at the University provide students the opportunity to work with hardware and software that is in the forefront of the field. To further broaden their experience, Computer Science majors can avail themselves of an extensive variety of internships and cooperative education experiences while at the University. History shows that students that graduate from the University of Hartford with a degree in Computer Science easily find placement in today's difficult job market.

Computer Science classes are presented using a wide variety of stimulating presentation techniques including lectures, multimedia, small group interaction, and tutorials.  Laboratory facilities include access to state-of-the-art computer equipment which includes UNIX, LINUX and Microsoft based networks and current integrated development environments.
