Dr. Demirkaya studied industrial engineering and mathematics in undergrad and then decided to continue on mathematics. Her research interests are Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations and Infinite Dimensional Dynamical Systems.  In grad school, she studied the long time behavior and stability of special solutions of Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation, Klein-Gordon equation and fourth order beam equation. The best part in grad school for her was to have the opportunity to attend conferences and seminars and to meet so many gorgeous people from different states and countries.
