Academics

The University of Hartford offers a variety of academic programs available at few universities of its size yet strives to foster individual attention. With more than 7,000 full-time and part-time graduate and undergraduate students, the campus is large enough to achieve the goals of a university without becoming a massive, impersonal institution. Many opportunities for career preparation can be realized within the 82 bachelor’s degree programs, 10 associate’s degrees, 28 graduate degrees, and 7 certificates or diplomas offered by the University.

Close student-faculty relationships are a hallmark of the University, which has a student-faculty ratio of 12:1. Faculty choose to come here because teaching is their priority, and students know they can turn to their professors for a deeper understanding of their areas of interest and of life in general. A supportive environment that allows a healthy mix of research, teaching, and community-involvement, attracts world-renowned scholars, acclaimed visual and performing artists, and industry leaders who are dedicated to helping students excel.
