GIPP Diversity Conference: 'Reflections on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder'

The Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology (GIPP), Department of Psychology, will present its annual Diversity Conference on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Wilde Auditorium.

The title of this year's conference is “Diversity and Diagnosis: Reflections on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.”

The keynote address will be given by Judith Herman, M.D., a pioneer in the field of trauma theory and treatment, and author of the seminal text Trauma and Recovery. Other presentations will also be offered, including one by Paula Madrid, Psy.D., an alumna of the University of Hartford, on disaster response post-Hurricane Katrina.
