Arts and Sciences Student Ambassadors

Arts and Sciences Student Ambassadors work with the Director of Collegiate Admissions and Communication to personalize the campus visits for prospective students.  Ambassadors are current students who are so enjoying their Arts and Sciences as well as University of Hartford experience that they are helping us to recruit new students.

Ambassadors are nominated by faculty in the college based on: academic performance, overall involvement in the major; and whom the faculty feels would make a great representative of their department, the college, and the university. It’s a wonderful volunteer opportunity for the students to give back to the college, to speak with students and families from the “other side of the desk,” and simultaneously  work on their communication skills.  Visits are personalized when a family comes for a campus tour, they invited to also meet with the department of interest, in which the ambassador and a faculty member will talk about the program.  The ambassador is there to compliment the visit by adding the student perspective.

“It was great to meet with prospective students and to know that I gave something back to the college.”
