Rhea Higgins has been teaching European Art History since 1986, first at Wesleyan University, at Hartford College for Women and now at the University of Hartford. Her specialty has been 19th c Europe with an emphasis on French art: Neo-classicism to Post-Impressionism. She has given papers on the Art of the French Revolution for the Humanities Council of Connecticut and was awarded “Teacher of the Year” at Hartford College for Women in 1992. She also teaches the art of Ancient Greece and Rome.
