Dr. Mahan ‘s areas of specialty are organic and polymer chemistry. He currently teaches the Organic Chemistry (CH 230-231) sequence, Polymer Chemistry (CH 534), and College Chemistry I (CH 110). Research interests include the synthesis of rotaxanes with novel electronic blocking groups, the modification of dendrimers for carbon dioxide absorption, and chemical education. |
