On October 20, 2017, Daniel Martin from the University of Connecticut presented at our first Undergraduate Colloquium. Martin, currently a graduate student working on his PhD in mathematics spoke about the curvature of surfaces and the Gauss-Bonnet Theorem. The talk drew student and faculty, and the room was buzzing with stimulating discussions on the topic.
