Message from the Dean

Welcome to the College of Arts and Sciences.  We are a faculty of 115 teachers and scholars, 24 staff, and a student body of 1,300 undergraduate and 300 graduate students. We offer 23 undergraduate majors and 7 graduate programs.

You are about to embark on a wonderful intellectual journey, and our faculty and staff will engage, challenge, and support you all along the way.  Our classes are small, and our faculty and staff will learn your name and expect the very best from you.  Indeed, they will help you realize your full potential.

In addition to providing a great education in your chosen specialty, our curricula are designed to strengthen your analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.  The experiences you have with us will prepare you for careers, citizenship, and life.

Best wishes on your journey!
