Federal Perkins Loan

The Federal Perkins Loan Program provides low-interest loans to help students in need finance the costs of their education. The Perkins Loan Program representative is located in the Bursar's Office in the Beatrice Auerbach Computer Center and Administration Building, room 218.

Our office can answer questions about the Federal Perkins Loan program including loan disbursement, repayment, cancellation, and deferment options, and loan consolidation opportunities.

Eligibility to receive a Perkins loan is determined through the Financial Aid Office. If you have questions regarding your eligibility, please contact their office directly at 860-768-4296.

NOTE: The Federal Perkins loan is different from Unsubsidized and Subsidized Federal Stafford loans. To complete Entrance/Exit Counseling for Stafford loans, visit www.studentloans.gov. If you have questions about Stafford loans, please contact the Financial Aid Office directly at 860-768-4296.
