The Loan Control Office is located in the Bursar's Office and conducts the entrance/exit interviews for Perkins Loan borrowers.
Entrance Interview: First time Federal Perkins Loan borrowers at the University of Hartford must complete an entrance interview prior to the disbursement of their loan funds. At the entrance interview, you will fill out a promissory note for the loan and have a counseling session briefing you on your rights and responsibilities as a borrower. Interviewees should bring a license and a list of three personal references of persons not living at their permanent home address. Borrowers also need to provide the address information for each of their references.
Exit Interview: Whenever a student-loan borrower graduates, withdraws, leaves, or drops below half-time status at the University, the student must complete an exit interview according to federal regulations. Borrowers receive important information about their repayment obligations and update information about themselves given during a previous entrance interview. Interviewees should bring a license and a list of three personal references of persons not living at their permanent home address. Borrowers also need to provide the address information for each of their references.
