Office of Institutional Effectiveness

The primary mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness is to support the individuals and groups who make policies and decisions affecting the University of Hartford by supplying data and information, conducting policy analysis for coordinating campus assessment/evaluation activities, and facilitating planning efforts.

The other essential goals of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness are:

  • To describe various student, faculty, staff, community groups, facilities or equipment in areas of various assessment
  • To organize the data using reports, tables and charts toward analysis, review and comparison
  • To assist the administrative and academic leadership with formative, summative, and descriptive evidence of Institutional Effectiveness, Accountability or need
  • To maintain other data sets, such as the University publication of The Fact Book and the OIE Website
  • To participate in state and federally mandated surveys as well as other nationally recognized surveys like The National Science Foundation’s Graduate Student Survey, several College Board surveys, Barron’s, Peterson’s surveys and many others
  • To provide information and statistics to the public for the benefit of the University of Hartford community

You will find information about various categories and numbers of students, faculty and staff for various time periods and in a variety of tables, reports or charts. The Higher Education Equal Opportunity Act and other legislation requires some of the reporting to be available in a public venue, and some information is posted here because you have asked for it frequently over the years. You will not find nor receive information containing names, student IDs, Social Security numbers or any other identifying information on this website or from this office. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness does not give out phone numbers or addresses either. We value our community’s right to privacy.
