Mechanical Engineering Technology majors work in the manufacturing and mechanical design industries. Our program focuses on manufacturing processes and material design, testing to industry standards, hands-on training in design and drafting using computer technology and balancing design objectives with production constraints.
With this major, you may be able to work as a member of a manufacturing team that does planning and designing, analysis of the cost-effectiveness of production methods, draft plans for proposed machines or parts, tests manufactured goods to ensure quality, or supervise the work of skilled mechanical craftsmen.
