The general requirements of the University Honors Program include 18 credits for each college (except Hillyer College, which is 9 credits):
6 credits of honors general education (e.g., honors WRT and AUC)
6 or 9 credits of advanced honors courses (e.g., HON 300 seminars)
6 or 3 credits of an honors thesis, a senior project, or an honors contract
For specific information on the honors requirements of each college, go to the Honors Coordinators.
Some of these credits can be earned by an Honors Contract for a regular course. All honors courses must be taken for a letter grade (not P/NP).
Students also must submit a Declaration Form to the Honors Coordinator of their college and maintain the required GPA.
