From the Dean
What makes the Barney School of Business unique?
That’s an important question for prospective students, and one that we consider every day given the increasingly crowded business school market.
We are proud of our quality. The Barney School is among the elite 5% of business schools worldwide accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We are also ranked by The Princeton Review as one of the country’s top 295 business schools. And in key specialty areas we receive accolades, for example ranking #2 in the U.S. in insurance hiring of undergraduates by Business Insurance magazine.
What do we do that creates such high quality and recognition? The answer best lies in our unrelenting commitment to preparing students who are Career Ready. Our graduates will have three things that set them apart. First, they are competent in their major and minor areas of study, experienced in doing real business work. Second, they become confident in engaging with managers and executives and able to make positive and convincing impression of their value to organizations. And third our graduates are connected with alumni and other business leaders, with established networks for career guidance and support.
How do we instill competence, confidence and connectivity? We do so through our industry savvy faculty, innovative curriculum, internships, corporate visits, career and professional development programming, extensive business partnerships, and engagement with community organizations. These combine to insure that we fulfill our mission to prepare students to be leaders and decision makers who are globally aware and socially responsible. And we deliver on our mission in a community environment that facilitates student learning and collaboration.
Come visit us and experience what makes the Barney School of Business unique. Let us help you become career ready and set your course for professional and personal success.
