April 24, 2019, Theodore D. Veru Symposium

The Barney School of Business’s Theodore D. Veru Symposium brings Vivian Pfeiffer BBA’85, MBA’86 to campus to deliver the 2019 lecture on April 24. A highly recognized specialist in Contemporary and Latin American art, Pfeiffer has been deputy chairman and head of business development at Phillips, a leading global platform for buying and selling 20th and 21st century art and design, since 2017. Prior to joining Phillips, she spent 25 years at Christie’s, the world’s leading art business, where she held a variety of positions, including director of private sales and specialist of the Latin American Art department in New York. In addition to English, Pfeiffer speaks Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italian. She is heavily involved in the arts community in Florida and New York.

The event will also recognize Associate Professor Charles Canedy III, Veru Symposium Director. Canedy is retiring at the end of this school year after more than 40 years.
