Spring Break 2017 in Spain

The Barney School of Business sent 17 students to Spain over spring break to learn about sustainable business practices and social enterprise. Our students were accompanied by professors Daphne Berry, Michael Patterson, and John Ogilvie.

The group stayed for six nights in the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, which has a population of 250,000. While in Spain students not only studied, but also had the opportunity to sightsee, and some even attended a soccer game, explored the city and learned more about Spanish culture.

Students also had the opportunity to meet the mayor of the city who discussed with them the importance of sustainability to the citizens of the city.

Barney School Junior James Coleman said, “Spain grew my exposure to a completely different culture and taught me how business practices vary across the globe.”

Two undergraduate students took pictures and blogged about their experiences throughout the week. The blog can be read here.
