Day of Service at the University of Hartford

Twenty Barney students participated in the University's 3rd annual Day of Service on April 5, 2013 under the leadership of professor of Management. Dr. Deborah Kidder. The group worked on various service projects in Hartford during the day. See the day's itinerary.

The Upper Albany Main Street Program

Hawks Helping HartfordThe Barney School encourages its students to participate in Hartford’s Upper Albany Main Street community revitalization organization through the Micro Business Incubator. Students share specific, relevant interests and expertise while assisting small businesses in Hartford’s Upper Albany neighborhood. Barney undergraduates can use this opportunity as their required Business Internship course, and they can also do it as the elective Business Practicum course.

This is a real win-win situation for both the Barney School and Upper Albany Main Street. Click here to see the many learning opportunities for Barney students who participate in this program.
