The study of accounting provides students with an understanding of the language of business and offers an excellent preparation for a business career. Small classes offer students the opportunity to interact with highly qualified faculty.
The Barney School’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in accounting is a professional major designed to provide hands-on experience that prepares students for careers in public accounting, management accounting, and financial management. Students who already have an undergraduate degree in another major can pursue a certificate in accounting that provides preparation for entry-level careers in accounting.
The Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation degree offers students the chance to pursue a fifth year of study in topics in that support careers in corporate and public accounting as well as taxation and that provide additional preparation for the CPA exam and other professional examinations.
