Vitkauskas, an honorary regent of the University of Hartford, currently serves as the Barney School’s executive-in-residence, teaching courses in leadership and organizational behavior. Vitkauskas recently retired after 16 years as president and chief executive officer of AIG Credit Corporation, a financial subsidiary of AIG, Inc. He also served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of AIG marketing, a personal lines mass marketing subsidiary. Earlier in his career, Vitkauskas worked in various financial positions at The Travelers Corporation and as an insurance industry specialist partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand).
Booth was named AIG vice chairman, transition planning, and chief administrative officer in October. He is responsible for restructuring AIG’s corporate center, overseeing the separation of companies being sold by AIG and executing AIG’s operational transition to its new organizational structure, in addition to his duties as AIG’s chief administrative officer. Booth is currently chair of HSB Group, Inc. He has also held executive positions at Phoenix Home Life Mutual Insurance Company and The Travelers Corporation.
Both Vitkauskas and Booth said that their experiences at the University of Hartford gave them strong foundations for success. Vitkauskas described his University of Hartford education as the “cornerstone” of his career.
