Professor Broden is an expert on many facets of taxation but concentrates on the entrepreneur and their business enterprises and how to maximize overall wealth. His early research predicted the growth in graduate tax education for CPA's. Today he advises the NSA's Scholarship Foundation on investments and serves on the editorial board of the New Accountant.

Served as vice president and on Board of Trustees of American Taxation Association. Served as chairman and on Board of Trustees of National Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation. Served on American Accounting Associations Tax Policy Committee and Expert Reviewer for their Casebook Series on Ethics. Served on editorial board for The New Accountant; Tax Notes; The Journal of Accounting, Taxation and Finance for Business; and The Prentice Hall Tax Course.
