Prior to his career in academe, Professor Warren retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP after a distinguished career of 31 years.  At the firm, he served in many capacities: Director, BA Product Development and Technology Services; Director, Computer Assurance Services; National Accounting, Auditing & SEC Consulting Partner; and general practice partner.  From 1973 through 1975, Don served as a Technical Advisor to a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board.  From 1964 to 1970, he was a member of the professional staff of the U.S. Government Accountability Office in Washington, D.C. and was responsible for conducting operational audits of Federal agencies.
