Global awareness is the understanding of interrelationships among international organizations, nation-states, public and private economic entities, sociocultural groups, and individuals across the globe.
The Barney School, in pursuit of its mission to prepare leaders and decision makers who are globally aware, offers several different study-abroad courses and strongly encourages faculty and student participation in international activities. These activities include conference attendance, conference presentations, course development, teaching abroad, and research by faculty as well as internships and study-abroad activities by students.
