Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
Mission
The Mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

The Barney Chapter Recognition
In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 the Barney School chapter was recognized by Beta Gamma Sigma as one of the Premier Chapters in the Northeastern United States. Also, for the past two years, the Barney chapter was awarded Honorable Mention as an Outstanding Chapter among all chapters worldwide. This places the Barney School among the top 6 chapters among the current 643 chapters in the world (the top1%).
The 2011 Beta Gamma Sigma Induction Ceremony
The Barney School chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International, held its eleventh annual induction ceremony on May 2 at 11:30 in the 1877 Club. Fifty-four Barney juniors, seniors, and graduate students were inducted. The ceremony was conducted by Dean Fairfield-Sonn and chapter advisor, Dr. Charles Canedy, III. The keynote speaker, Ms. Rachana Khanna (Beta 2003), spoke on Ethical Leadership. Click for a list of the inductees.
