Self Assessment Tools

Before you make decisions about your major or career path, it is important to get to know yourself. What are your personal strengths? What type of activities and work interest you? What do you value in a work environment? Self-assessments can help you find the answers to these important questions. Assessments help you identify majors and careers that are worth further exploration.

Recommended Assessments

To take one of our recommended assessments, you will need to schedule an appointment with a career advisor. When you schedule your appointment, we will give you the information you need to get access to the assessment tools. At your appointment, we will go over your results, and help you create an action plan to move forward based on what you learned.

Our recommended assessments are:

  • TypeFocus
  • Focus2
  • Strong Interest Inventory
  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
  • Self-Directed Search

There are other assessments you can do on your own, and you can find links to those on the right-hand side of this page.
