Overview

Civil Engineers are required to take core courses in engineering, math and sciences, as well as in the humanities, offering individuals a well-rounded educational experience. The remainder of credits are focused upon Structures, Transportation, Materials, Surveying, Water Resources, Environmental, and Geotechnical Engineering.

A senior design project is required of all civil engineering students. Civil Engineering students with the Environmental concentration focus their elective courses on various environmental engineering topics, such as Water Resources, Water Quality, Air Pollution Control, and Solid Waste Management. Students also have the opportunity to work cooperatively with local industry providing them with real world experiences.

Our graduates work for the nationally recognized companies and local, state, and federal government agencies involved with building and maintaining the nation's infrastructure.
