2017 a good year for fSAE race team

fSAE teamfSAE carBased on performance, the 2017 race car has surpassed cars from the past ten years. For the first time since 2011, the captain and system leads were able to truly design and test the vehicle’s abilities. For the first time in 5 years, the race car has been able to complete each event. There has been an increase in team members recently, bringing the total club membership to twenty-five. The captains were able to instill a team mentality into the club, giving each individual separate responsibility with an understanding of their part in the common goal towards the finished car. Weekly team management meetings helped to track progress and ensure appropriate focus was put on components falling behind in design or manufacturing.
The fSAE team has continued to evolve year after year. In 2018, the formula SAE team would like to focus more on system level design and documentation. CETA looks forward to what will enfold in the new 2018 race car design!
