The Engineering Applications Center (EAC) is a vehicle for collaboration between the industry and the university in the conduct of applied research involving students, faculty and staff. Recent research developments and education of our undergraduate and graduate engineers is evidence that the EAC continues to be a model for process innovations.
The commitment to assist industry and other affiliates has continued to remain at the forefront of our industry research program. In addition to solving problems, and deploying new methodologies, we continue to publish some of our in-house research in national and international literature for the benefit of institutions and industries around the world.
Our partner companies work side-by-side with students and staff to develop cross-discipline solutions to process and product challenges. University resources are made available to assist our business partners solve some of their most complicated technical challenges. Partner companies can preview the talent pool offered by University of Hartford graduates.
Our students and staff gain first-hand knowledge of the engineering world beyond the walls and halls of the university, developing practical solutions to real-world needs. Here our students have the opportunity to show technical business leaders what they can do while still students. Students participate in real life challenges by developing partnerships with the industry through student projects, graduate work, and research programs. Faculty utilize the teaching tools afforded not by mere exercises but by results that make a difference.
The EAC provides the opportunity for local business and industry to apply new technologies to their products and processes through application projects, demonstrations, consulting, short courses and symposia.
