CETA Students On Campus

CETA students are active in the University, participating in all the clubs and organizations on campus as well as other facets of life here. With more than 100 clubs and organizations to choose from including: work possibilities, undergraduate publication / research opportunities, concerts (rock and classical), plays / operas / other performances, and athletics, every student can have an active life to complement the academic side of things. If Student Government is your thing, the SGA supports most of the student activities on campus and is always looking for willing hands with good ideas. Student Government Association  Also, if you cannot find a group that covers something you are interested in, SGA (Student Government Association) makes it easier for you to start one.

Student Clubs and Organizations

The University of Hartford offers clubs that support academics like the literary annual produced by the English Department, Aerie, and CETA's own American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Culture and Faith Organizations

In addition to an active chapter of the Newman Club and Hillel, there are other organizations to help you maintain your ties to your culture and your faith. For example, Casa (Caribbean-American Student Association), Ekta (Indian Student Association), as well as the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. The International Center in Gengras Student Union supports the various international groups here on campus.

Greek Life

About 11% of the University's student body belongs to a fraternity or a sorority. The Greek organizations on campus actively work on charities and more, so you may want to consider exploring Greek Life and all it has to offer.


The University of Hartford is a Division I school with teams including basketball, golf, and lacrosse, for both men and women, just to name a few. The University also offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to participate with club sports such as men's and women's rugby, karate, and even a dance team and Intramural sports as well. In addition, the Sport's Center is a 130,000-square-foot facility offering an Olympic-sized swimming pool, strength and conditioning equipment, and squash and racquetball courts, not to mention lighted tennis courts on our new outdoor facilities.
