Vision and Mission


To be a premier provider of practice-oriented biomedical engineering education at the undergraduate level.

To prepare students for careers in research or industry and provide technical background to succeed in graduate schools in the area of their technical interest.


To provide our students with contemporary and evolving knowledge and exposure to the engineering practice.

To provide an academic experience that will allow our graduating students to succeed as biomedical engineers dealing with technological and societal issues as related to the human body.

To integrate a solid background in Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, and Engineering that will permit our students to understand and utilize knowledge from each field in the practice of Biomedical Engineering.

To assure that graduates of our educational program are prepared for the broad multidisciplinary practice of biomedical engineering and that those wishing to enter graduate education programs are prepared to succeed in them.
