Computer Engineering Technology

This semester-by-semester arrangement of courses for the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with a major in Computer Engineering Technology will serve full-time and part-time students.

The Two-Plus-Two Program in Computer Engineering Technology is intended to give students the maximum flexibility in designing their professional educational program; it offers a well-rounded professional education with an emphasis on hardware and programming of computer systems.

The first two years (leading to an Associate in Science degree A.S.) offer opportunities to prepare for work in industry installing, testing and maintaining computer systems.

The following two years (leading to the Bachelor of Science degree B.S.) prepare students to work on advanced hardware and network systems and includes additional technical and general education courses necessary for career advancement.

Graduates of this program take positions as members of the engineering team in design, computer hardware and/or software development, programming, manufacturing, production, or operations. They also work in technical services including field engineering, marketing and sales.
