What We Do

The Entrepreneurial Center of the University of Hartford assists aspiring entrepreneurs and owners of developing or established microenterprise with self-assessment, accessing capital and new markets, business and financial education, and business plan development.  We have developed a team of experienced small-business owners and resource partners who serve as advisors and course/seminar facilitators.  This diverse group gives us the ability to customize a learning experience that will have immediate and long-term impact on the development of both owner and business.

The University of Hartford's Center for Professional Development (CPD) has received a Community Development Block Grant!


Women-owned businesses growing in Connecticut

The Department of Economic and Community Development provides funding to programs such as The Entrepreneurial Center in Hartford to assist women small businesses. “A lot of people need help managing their business and managing their cash flow,” said Lacey Banks McGill, business advisor at The Entrepreneurial Center in Hartford.
