On March 9th, The Entrepreneurial Center will host a free Open House from 4:30-6:30 pm at its Butterworth Hall location on the Asylum Avenue campus of the University of Hartford to celebrate the launch of the newly-created Women's Business Roundtable.
Women business owners are invited to experience powerful networking opportunities and to learn how they can get low-cost access to The Entrepreneurial Center's newly-formed resource-intensive Women's Business Roundtable, a year-round support program for existing and emerging women-owned businesses in the community. This free Open House will provide both structured and free-flowing networking sessions for women business owners, as well as exposure to the many experts and business-building programs that The Entrepreneurial Center is already well-known for.
Sandra Cahill, Associate Director of the Entrepreneurial Center, explains that they are looking to broaden the scope of offerings beyond their one-on-one coaching and business assessment and planning classes. "We truly value the many entrepreneurs we serve, and we wanted to find a way to support them further. To help these women take their business to the next level, we are pulling together a team of experts in areas of interest to these emerging business leaders—areas such as cash flow management, marketing, sales strategy, and much, much more."
In addition to the immediate benefits of the networking this event will provide, the Open House will allow an opportunity for attendees to give input on what challenges they are facing and how The Entrepreneurial Center can best assist them. The Open House will also include an invitation for area women entrepreneurs to tap in to the expertise offered by the Entrepreneurial Center's Women's Business Roundtable, such as financial management, marketing, networking and sales strategy planning.
The Entrepreneurial Center was established in 1985 as an initiative of the Center for Professional Development. Each year The Entrepreneurial Center supports approximately 500 emerging and established businesses by providing business assessment, one-on-one coaching plan development, business training and technical assistance.
The Entrepreneurial Center operates out of historic Butterworth Hall at the University of Hartford's Asylum Avenue campus.
