The All-University Curriculum Committee is accepting nominations for the Donald W. Davis All-University Curriculum Award, presented annually at Commencement to a faculty member who has made outstanding contributions to the AUC.

The AUC award cuts across the current Larsen, Bent, and Trachtenberg faculty awards for teaching, scholarship, and service by honoring a faculty member who:
  • is an effective interdisciplinary teacher and scholar,
  • has contributed to the AUC program as a whole, for example through course development, and
  • is an advocate for interdisciplinary education.
All faculty who have taught in the All-University Curriculum, both full- and part-time, are eligible. Nominations will be accepted from current University of Hartford faculty, staff, students or alumni.

The All-University Curriculum Committee, composed of faculty representatives from each of the University’s colleges along with the student government academic vice president, will make the award decision.

The following documents are requested:
  • a letter of nomination that specifically addresses the intent of the award;
  • letters from colleagues either within or outside of the University of Hartford that address the nominee’s interdisciplinary teaching, scholarship, and service (maximum of 3 letters);
  • a current curriculum vitae.
Materials should be submitted c/o Karen Barrett, AUC Office, CC 201. The deadline for submission of nominations is 4 p.m., Friday, March 10.
