Scholarship Opportunity for Part-Time, Female Students

Hartford’s Town and County Club is accepting applications from part-time female students for a scholarship in the amount of tuition for one course at the University of Hartford.
Applications must be postmarked by Wednesday, March 1.
Candidates must be:
1. Currently matriculated at the University of Hartford or transferring from Capital Community College to the University of Hartford for fall 2006.
2. A resident in one of the towns of the Greater Hartford region. For a list of these towns, visit www.hfpg.org, click on "About Us" and then "The Community We Serve."
3. Female, age 24 or above.
4. Enrolled on a part-time basis with a GPA of 2.5 or above.
5. Have financial need as determined by the federal Student Aid Report (SAR).
Criteria for evaluation:
1. Scholarship
2. Personal Statement
3. Faculty Recommendation
4. Financial Need
5. An interview will be required.
Application requirements:
1. A completed Town and County Club Scholarship application.
2. A personal statement addressing questions listed on application.
3. A reference from a faculty member with whom the applicant has taken a course.
4. A current transcript (unofficial acceptable).
5. A copy of a Student Aid Report (SAR).
6.The application packet must be mailed to the Town and County Club, 220 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT 06105 and must be postmarked by March 1, 2006.
