Dispatches from New Orleans
Several participants in the New Orleans trip will be leaving audio messages describing their experiences, which will be posted in UNotes Daily.
The first audio message is from Kelsey LaRochelle, a sophomore, who describes the experience of gutting a hurricane-damaged house that is overrun with mold. In her message, LaRochelle also discusses the significance of the historic St. Augustine Church, where the group is staying, and she reports that she and her fellow students have been working with New Orleans civil rights activist Jerome Smith.
