Men’s Soccer Remains Undefeated
The University of Hartford men’s soccer team remains undefeated eight games into the season, posting the program's second-best start in its Division I history. The only other time the Hawks have posted an unbeaten record through their first eight games was in 1984.
For the second week in a row, the Hawks are ranked seventh in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men's Northeast Poll, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Also on Tuesday, the Hartford men beat Quinnipiac by a score of 3-0, the team’s largest margin of victory this season. Junior Damion Lowe scored early in the second half and added another goal in the final minute of play to help lead the Hawks to victory. Sophomore Javoni Simms also added an insurance tally in the last minute of play to help the Hawks remain unbeaten in 2013 with an overall record of 6-0-2.

The Hawks will look to keep their hot streak alive on Saturday, Sept. 28, when they welcome the George Mason Patriots to Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium (behind the Sports Center). The first-ever meeting between the two squads is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Admission is free for University of Hartford students with UHart ID.
There will be a free tailgate party before the game, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
