Faculty and Staff: Sign Up for a Free Flu Shot!
Flu season is quickly approaching and typically lasts through the fall and winter months. In an effort to help protect employees from the seasonal flu, the Office of Human Resources Development is pleased to announce that any regular full-time or part-time faculty or staff member, regardless of whether or not you are enrolled in the University of Hartford’s group medical insurance, will be offered a complimentary (seasonal) flu vaccine.
The flu shot clinic, provided by Rite Aid, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Konover Great Room. The vaccine will be offered only to those employees who register on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested employees must sign up via the Online Scheduler, which can be found by going to the HRD homepage (www.hartford.edu/hrd), clicking the red "Open Enrollment" button on the right side of the page, and then going to the "2013 Flu Shot Clinic." You can also access the Online Scheduler directly by clicking here.
Please plan to complete the online registration process fully at the time of log in. You will need to print the screening form, which you must bring with you to your appointment along with your insurance card.
Registration must be completed no later than Oct. 15, 2013. Once you have registered, the vaccine will be reserved in your name. It is important that you schedule a time in which you can attend, as we anticipate the appointments will fill up quickly and there are only a limited number of vaccines available.
For questions regarding the flu shot clinic, please contact Lindsay McKeegan in HRD at 860.768.4667 or email@example.com.
