Memorial Service to be Held Saturday for Majdi Atallah ’06, ‘10
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, for Majdi Atallah, a Jordanian student who earned a bachelor’s degree from CETA in 2006 and had nearly completed a Master of Engineering degree when he died of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on Jan. 13, 2010.
CETA has posthumously awarded the Master of Engineering degree to Atallah. Atallah also had just started pursuing an MBA in the Barney School of Business at the time of his death.
Saturday’s memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. in Wilde Auditorium. All are welcome.
Atallah, 25, had attended the Jubilee School in Jordan and received a scholarship to the University of Hartford. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering in 2006, before pursuing multiple graduate degrees.
Atallah had fought a four-year battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He is survived by his wife, Amy Wilson; his parents; and three siblings. Funeral services were held in Zerqa, Jordan.
