International Week: Celebrate the Cultures of the World
The International Center will celebrate the cultures of the world during its first annual International Week from March 1 – 6.
Stop by The Commons Monday through Friday to taste international recipes submitted by the Hawk Hall Destination RLC. Cast your vote for the winning entries in the "International Photography Contest." Join us for popcorn and a foreign film on Monday and Friday nights. If you've ever thought of working, volunteering or teaching English overseas, come by the "International Opportunities Fair" to learn how. Stop by the "Language Learn" event, where our international students will teach you how to say words and phrases in their native languages. If you want to find out how you can study abroad while at the University of Hartford, come to the "Study Abroad Fair." To finish out the week of celebration, join us for the 25th Annual International Festival on March 6, with great food and music from around the world.
Pick up your "international passport" from the International Center, GSU 327, and collect stamps from each event you attend during the week. If you go to five events, bring your "passport" to the International Festival and receive FREE ENTRY.
