Relay for Life – Pasta Dinner Fundraiser on Sunday
University of Hartford students will host the American Cancer Society’s signature event, Relay For Life, on campus on October 8-9, 2010.
Relay For Life is meant to honor cancer survivors and to gather participants as a community in the fight against cancer. Each year, Relay For Life events are held in communities all over the world, helping to raise money for cancer research as well as honoring those who suffer from the disease. All money raised is donated to the American Cancer Society to fund life-saving research, patient support programs, advocacy efforts and cancer education.
Organizational and planning meetings are being held NOW. All faculty, staff and students are invited to meet on the first floor (second classroom from the main entrance) in Hawk Hall on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. The Relay Committee hopes to make this year’s fight against cancer even stronger than before.
Please consider joining our group!
PASTA DINNER: The Relay Committee will be holding a pasta fundraiser dinner on Sunday, April 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the North Café in Gengras Student Union. Cost will be $5 per person in advance and $7 at the door, with all proceeds going to the University Relay for Life. Your support is appreciated.
