Career Shadowing Day a Big Success

Educational Main Street and the University of Hartford welcomed eighth-grade students from Hartford’s Fox Middle School to campus on Oct. 26 for a Career Shadowing Day.

University of Hartford employees hosted more than 30 Fox students for the morning. The students were able to shadow their employee mentors as they conducted business at their offices or around campus.

For most students, a visit to the Gengras Cafeteria was a highlight, as were the ID badges provided for them from the ID office.

Participating employees enjoyed their time mentoring students and look forward to the spring, when more students will come to campus for job shadowing.
