Washington's Crossing We have all witnessed events in these last few years that seemed to portend catastrophe, and experienced moments in which it seemed that critical institutions and indeed government itself stood on the brink of failure. This course will examine one such moment in America's past, the bleak winter of 1776. There will be three sessions.
