Motivational speaker, leadership expert, and University of Hartford alumnus Walt Hampton will visit campus on Wednesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gengras Cafeteria.

Hampton will discuss leadership, success, networking and working in groups, with a speech geared toward students and student leaders. This event is made possible by Greek Life, Student Centers Administration and Campus Activities Team. It is free and open to all students who are interested in leadership or improving their experiences working in a group setting.

Current Hartt classical guitar student Max Brenner will open the evening with a guitar performance from 7:30 to 8 p.m. before the keynote address from Hampton.

Hampton will speak for approximately an hour, with a question and answer session following his speech. Students who attend will also have a chance to meet with Hampton one-on-one to further discuss his ideas. In addition, all who attend will be entered in a raffle to win a signed copy of one of Hampton’s books.
