Lovers, actors, amateurs, royalty and the fairy worlds collide in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, which will be performed by The Hartt School Theatre Division May 1–4.

Performances will take place Thursday, May 1, through Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m. at the Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.

Hartt's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream is directed by Theatre Division Chair Alan Rust. It is the eve of a Royal wedding and the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors, who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set, have a midsummer evening not soon forgotten in this playful comedy.

University of Hartford students, faculty, and staff are entitled to one free ticket to this production. If you have a valid University of Hartford email address, you can claim your complimentary ticket by going to the box office website, or by calling the box office at 860.768.4228.

Admission for the general public is $20, with discounts for seniors, students, and groups of 10 or more. For tickets and information, please call the University Box Office at 860.768.4228 or 800.274.8587, or visit the box office website.
