The announcement of a $55,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving for the 2014–15 season of The Hartt School’s Richard P. Garmany Chamber Music Series, as well as the announcement of the performers in the series' sixth season, generated media coverage, including an article in the West Hartford News.

Performers in the upcoming season include the JACK Quartet on Oct. 16, the Calder Quartet on Nov. 20, Roomful of Teeth on Feb. 5, and the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) on April 23. Of note is the fact that the $55,000 grant is the largest since the series began in 2008.
