in 1974 the English Language Institute (ELI) at the University
of Hartford offers a comprehensive academic program designed
for international students whose primary language is not English.
The program seeks to improve the studentŐs overall educational
experience by working towards a greater proficiency in understanding,
reading, writing and speaking English in order to meet the academic
standards for admission to American colleges and universities.
Committed
to giving students the best English instruction, the ELI uses
