Housing

Here at the University of Hartford, we have a wide variety of housing facilities to suit the needs of our resident students.

Residential Colleges

The Residential College concept is a relatively new one, and the University of Hartford is proud to be responsible for being a model in this endeavor and other schools are following our lead in this innovative program.

There are currently three Residential Colleges. Each has a full-time faculty member living in the building.

Residence Hall Complexes

These complexes are designated as standard residence halls for students. The format is similar to that of the residential colleges, with four buildings per complex, four stories per building, two suites per floor, and each suite consisting of 2 bathrooms, a lounge equipped with furniture, and four rooms with two students each.

Laundry facilities are also available in the basement of each complex.

Apartments

There are three separate apartment areas on campus, each designed for different groups of students.

Regents Park is the Freshman/Sophomore apartment complex on campus. It is a three-story building complete with elevator, laundry facilities, study lounges, and more.

Each apartment accommodates four students, with a utility kitchen (including sink and cabinets), living room area with furniture, and bedrooms with desks, desk chairs, beds, and closets. Park River Apartments is the newest residential facility at the University of Hartford.

Park River is a four story building complete with elevator, laundry facilities, music practice rooms, a pool table, study lounges, and more.

Each apartment accommodates four upper-class students, with a full kitchen (including dishwasher, stove, sink, cabinet space, and a full-height fridge), living room area with furniture, and bedrooms with desks, desk chairs, beds, and closets. Each apartment is also air conditioned.

The Village Apartments are set up in seven quads. Each quad consists of first-floor and second-floor 4- or 6-person apartments opening out onto a common courtyard, in a townhouse-style format.

Each apartment has up to two bathrooms, and ample full kitchen and living room space.
